General
1. Do I need any experience to attend a class at Pottery Gagliano?
No experience is necessary! We offer classes for complete beginners as well as advanced sessions for experienced potters.
2. How do I book a class or workshop?
You can book directly through our website. If you have any issues, feel free to email us for assistance.
3. What to Bring?
An apron and/or towel, and wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy. While clay washes out, it’s best to be prepared! For comfort and safety, please tie back long hair.
4. Can I buy clay and materials from you?
Yes, we sell clay, glazes, and tools. You can visit the studio during Open Studio hours or email us if you’d like to place a larger order.
Open Studio and Membership
5. Do I need a membership to use the Open Studio?
No membership is required! You can book and pay as you go, online or in person at the Studio.
6. Can beginners attend the Open Studio sessions?
Open Studio is best suited for those with some experience, as no formal teaching is provided. However, our technician is available for guidance.
7. Can I bring a small group to the Open Studio?
Yes, but we ask groups to be mindful of others working in the space. Booking in advance is required.
Workshops & Masterclasses
8. What’s included in the price of a Masterclass?
Masterclasses include all materials, tools, and expert tuition. Firing costs may vary depending on the course.
9. Will I receive my work after a workshop?
Yes! Your pieces will be fired, and we’ll notify you when they’re ready for collection. This process usually takes a few weeks.
Kiln Firing & Clay Information
10. Can I bring my own work to be fired at Pottery Gagliano?
Yes, we offer kiln firing services. Please contact us for details on pricing and availability.
11. What type of clay do you use at the studio?
We primarily use White Draycott Stoneware.
Cancellations & Policies
12. What is your cancellation policy?
For classes and workshops, we require at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Masterclasses may have different terms—please check the specific course details. (See our Cancellation Policy)
13. What happens if I miss a class?
Unfortunately, we can’t offer make-up sessions, but we’ll always try to accommodate where possible.

14. Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes! Gift vouchers are available for any class or workshop and can be purchased on our website.
